When I filed for SSDI, I was approved the first time, with no additional need for further medical evaluation. I was one of the lucky ones. Everything was so clear-cut for MS in all my testing, that apparently SS did not have any further questions.
What you are being asked to do, is not unheard of. I would go through with the testing they request. I know that you are nervous and I promise you...I WILL say a prayer for you.
Hang in there honey, we are all here for you...every minute...every step.
Heather
thank you very much and i do appreciate it...take care...deb
Hi Deb,
I have also been through the SSDI process, but it was for neck issues and myofascial pain syndrome. I was never asked to go to any of their doctors, but was under alot of medical care at the time so they had lots of info. I got denied and had to go before a judge. Just me and my dad; I did not take an attorney, though I know lots do. The judge asked me questions for about five minutes and said "approved". Don't let the proces frighten you, it can be daunting. I will also pray; God is good, all the time. Amy
I WENT THROUGH THE SSDI SONG AND DANCE AND I HAD TO GO TO 2 OF THIER DRS. ONE A NEUROSURGEON AND THE SECOND A NEUROLOGIST FOR 2 FAILED BACK SURGERIES.
I WAS DENIED THE FIRST TIME AND HAD TO GO IN FRONT OF THE MAGISTRATE AND AFTER A FEW QUESTIONS I WAS APPROVED.
I HAD NO ATTORNEY EITHER.ITS THERE WAY OF PLAYING GAMES,YOU'LL BE FINE.GO TO THEIR DRS.
I'LL SAY PRAYERS FOR YOU ALSO
T-LYNN
