Hi there and welcome to the forums!
I too have had similar experiences such as yourself in regard to a waddling gait. :D
Looks cute doesn't it? Haha. NOT.
Listen, there are many reasons why you could be limping and I am unsure what your causes are. The word that comes to mind is "Ataxia" when you state you can't do the tandem walk or have a positive Rhomberg (stand with your feet together, arms out, eyes closed and fall over).
I have ataxia. As far as the waddling gait (which is not here right now), my left hip was spastic, my quadriceps were spastic, I felt that I had knee immobilizers on my legs where I couldn't bend at the knees and it gave me this "mummy" walk look. It doesn't do it now and if I experience it, it doesn't last longer than 24 hours (thank god).
I know you have a lot of questions in your mind but make sure the questions you ask here are written down so you can ask your doctor at your appointment. I dont care if your question list is 50 +!, you need to receive answers to them and hopefully not receive medical jargon that you can't understand. Do not be satisfied because they answered in medical terminology. Ask the doctor to rephrase it in a way that you can understand.
Good luck with your appointment on Tuesday and let us know how it goes ok?!?!

Hi, I have not had this problem, but I think I´ve heard it is very comon. So there must be someone here that can tell you. It is great that you have an appointment so soon, so hopefully you can get some help with this.
My best,
