Hey there,

It depends on if your talking about, muscle wastage that is evenly spread throughout or if its just the odd muscle thats noticeably wasted compared to others?

I've never been someone that carries any noticeable layer of extra padding, so my muscles have always been obvious, so even though i'm petite i've still had visual muscle definition. It was only around this time last year that i put on my bikini and noticed the inside thigh muscle (sorry cant remember its name) on my left leg, was looking more like saggy skin than muscle, when compared to my right leg.

At the time i wondered if it was muscle wastage but honestly i can't be sure it is, because although my left leg is smaller than my right, i have lost more weight this year and I now have that saggy skin thing everywhere lol not quite but both my (inner) legs and stomach are trying to pull off the sharpa look lol its the new black!

So what are you noticing that your thinking might be muscle wastage?

Ho Ho Ho..........JJ

I thought just had worsening cellulite, but left side (weaker side) is worse and it is on upper left arm, too. May be cellulite. I don't know. But it looks like I've lost weight when I haven't. Could even be muscles are clenched... ?

Now I'm trying to decide whether to spend $ on overdue mri. There. Are just so many other things we need.

I'm so not the right person to answer questions that may or may not be cellulite, i dont have any to speak of and know nothing more than its commonly found on your butt and legs half but i'm not sure i've ever heard of it being anywhere else, which doesn't help at all / lol sorry about that!

Ha! I've gained weight over the past 3 yrs and have seen it (cellulite ) on me and others and it seems to be possible just about anywhere.  There is just something about it that seems different. More wo gaining weight.

Whatever. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Yes.  My right leg has wasted quite noticeably.  I have foot drop and so especially my right calve muscle has atrophied.  It is frustrating and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do.  I've also lost muscle all the way up the leg and in the buttock.  Fun stuff.

Sorry if it is happening to you, but it does seem to be part of the process.  When the nerve impulse is lessened to a given muscle, it is a natural process for that muscle to weaken and atrophy.

I wish you the best.
