weird abdominal pain

i am not diagnosed with MS but have many of the symptoms and no diagnosis yet.  i have seen an MS neuro (among a million others) but he can not diagnose at this time.  i was wondering if anyone else has had weird abdominal pains?  about 3 weeks ago i started having a pain in the left side of my abdomen.  it is a very intense sharp stabbing pain that basically stops me in my tracks.  it is not present all the time and comes and goes and hits out of the blue.  could this be a spasm in the muscle?  i have had a problem with muscle spasms in the past in other areas but have no idea what an abdominal spasm would feel like.  i am probably going to have to go to the doctor about it because it is becoming very annoying but was just wondering if anyone has had this?

Hi Rachel,

Well, no ovary, huh?  At least that rules out the cyst!!

I know how you feel about drs, and being labeled as a crazy person.

Well, honey, you're in good company here, cause most of us have been called crazy a time or two.  Or just down right feel crazy somedays, cause we can't get any answers!!

I also know what you mean about the pain being deep.  That is the way mine feels at times.  Stomach spasms are new to me, but they are very painful and at times I feel like my stomach muscles and even my ovaries, are just tied in a tight knot.

I can understand about being tired of drs, but if this pain doesn't stop or get any better, you do need to get it checked out, please.

I'll be praying for you to get some relief!!

Hugs,
doni

thanks for the reply...actually i do not have an ovary on the left side where my pain is (i had it removed several years ago because of a tumor)...so the one thing i can rule out is ovary problems which doesnt leave much there, i guess thats why i think it might be muscular but it feels so deep...it is like someone drives a hot spike all the way through to my back.  i know i need to see the doc but i am just so tired of doctors and never seem to get an answer to anything when i go. i think after a while you just get labeled as a crazy person...ya know.  thanks again.  good luck in your search for answers, it is very frustrating.

Hi Rachel,

I'm undx too, but have lots of spasms in my stomach and abdomen, this is a new symptom for me and it really hurts.

I've also had really bad pain in my rib cage, mostly on the right, but has involved my whole midriff at times.

In the past, I dealt with cysts on my ovaries and this is very painful also. So this could be what's happening.

It very well could be spasms, but I think you should have this checked out to make sure it is not something else.  No need to take chances with your health.

I hope you get an answer for this from your dr and that it is not anything serious.

Take care,
doni
