The last time I saw my Neuro it was only by hitting me above my knee as you described on my right leg that he got a reflex jerk from it. So either that is normal or we are both weird. :)
Dennis
I would think it was a normal reflex, or perhaps a bit of hyperreflexia. It wouldn't hurt to ask your neuro, though.
hi jen
it is a reflex like you have when the doctor taps your knee, only this is above the knee were your thigh meets your knee not on the knee its self.
See i told you it was a weird question (lol)
Sorry this is the only way i can descibe it ,my legs jerks out when you tap above the knees.
The reason i discovered this was my son was playing and hit my leg with the pillow and my leg kicked right out like the doc did reflex test only he hit me with the pillow above my knee.
Sorry if this sounds mad, i just wondered if anyone could explain whats happening ? is it normal ? and should i tell the neuro about this .
Thanks for taking the time to try and help i really do appreciate all the advice i can get on this, and who better to ask but my forum family.
Kindest Regards
Julie xx
What do you mean, reflexes? Like you're getting weird sensations?
