I WAS just kidding! You are much too young for osteoarthritis to be rearing its ugly head, so it looks like Quix is on the right path, as always.
My horrid neck was most likely caused by a combination of a whiplash type accident I had when I was hit by a drunk driver who never hit his brakes when I was in my 20's, and the fact that I have degenerative disk disease. My neck is nearly perfect now, if I do say so myself, titanium plate and all! I'm 43, by the way. Young one, you are!
Anyway, listen to Quix, she's usually right on the money!

Did you notice how Cooper brilliantly sidestepped divulging the slippery "age" question I threw in there?
Clever!

The spenoid sinus is in the middle of the head, back a ways between the eye. Sounds like you've had some infection in it. When the sphenoid sinus is infected it causes a headache that often refers right to the top of the head, of all places. This is not a serious finding, but could explain some previous headaches. Q
Hi, The most common cause for the curve (when it curves to the front it's called a lordotic curve like in the neck and lower back) When it curves to the back, like at the back of the chest i(thoracic part) t's called a kyphotic curve. Old, bent over people have severe "kyphosis."
Anyway, muscle spasm in the neck from pain or nerve irritation or injury, is the most common cause of the curve straightening out, followed by degenerative and arthritic changes. Quix
hi, never been told had arthritis, but do have joint and muscle aches, 1st mri of spine, for ms demylenation,
Hi, Cooper~
It means slight reverse curvature. I had complete reverse curvature of my cervical spine before I had surgery on it. My neck was a mess! Mine was caused by severe osteoarthritis. Degenerative disk disease. If it's slight, I don't think there is too much worry.
Do you have arthritis? What is your age? (See how I so casually worked that into the conversation?!) Have you had any injuries to your neck? Some degeneration of the disks can explain slight reverse curvature, or loss of curvature. Or, it may be something you've had forever. Have you had your neck imaged before?
Hope this helps!
