fenugreek

Hi

I am suffering from excessive hair fall, I am almost on the verge of having bald patches on my crown and I am only 21! I have been told that this is normally caused by high levels of testosterone in women but I havent done the blood examination to check for my testosterone levels. I have been told that fenugreek is very useful in balancing the free testosterones that convert to DHT and cause hair fall. What I would like to know is whether I can eat the fenugreek seeds directly, say with tea or something. Does it cause any digestive or other health issues if eaten directly? Though I know fenugreek is often used as an ingredient in plenty of dishes, the seeds get cooked so I was wondering if it is alright to have them raw?

Thanks for the links. One of them said people usually drink the water in which fenugreek was saoked and discard the seeds. Seems like it is not common to eat the seeds.

I cook with fenugreek often - whole, roasted, and raw powder. I found this interesting and thought I'd pass on it on to you http://www.alaivani.com/Blog/tabid/56/EntryId/97/Default.aspx

Also, see this http://diabetes.emedtv.com/fenugreek/fenugreek-drug-interactions.html

Good luck.
