Cold feeling in Legs and feet

Cold feeling in Legs and feet

Hi,
My son is 11 and has Osteo Chondritis dissecans in the bottom of his femour behind the knee.  He did not get it from an injury, we think it occurred because he had Henoch Schonlein Purpura, which is now in remission.  He quite frequently gets cold feelings inside the bones of his tibia ands feet, mpostly in bed at night.  Is this somehting I sould be very worried about?  Des this mean poor circulation to the bones and possibly more bouts of OCD in the bones.  I am worried about him.  Please help.  His Orthopedic doctor does not know what to think about this cold feeling.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,
Osteo-chondritis dissecans is a pathologic joint entity of localized bone necrosis with overlying cartilage injury.
I think this suggests that he might be having nerve compromise, which might be due to fracture fragments if any.
It does not mean poor circulation.
You can get a Doppler study of her lower limb to see circulation in lower limb.
I think you should be consulting an orthopaedician or a Pediatrician for further evaluation.
Keep me informed if you have any queries.
Bye.
