DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE

LAST JUNE I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH DEGENERATIVE JOINT DISEASE"OSTEOARTHRITIS" I HAVE BEEN GOING TO PHYSICAL THERAPY OFF AND ON SINCE. I STILL GO BACK SPECIALIST. HIS NURSE TELLS ME THAT I NEED AN EPIDERAL STEROID INJECTION. I HAVE BEEN ON VICODIN SINCE NOV.2008. IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE THAT HAS HAD THOSE SHOTS AND DO THEY WORK TO WHERE I WON'T HAVE TO TAKE PAIN MEDS?? I GET UPSET STOMACHE ON VICODIN {GENERIC}. THANKS!

I had 3 epidurals in low back and 3 in neck plus 3 in neck facets.
Helped some for a while but now my entire back feels as if its
gone. I have been on morphine for several years and soma. That's the
only thing that helps me survive. My neck did great for a couple of years.
Had a reaction to 1 epidural in low back. Temporary reaction of low blood pressure etc. Pain does eventually returns with a vengence.
I have degenerated disc disease, spinal stenoses, arthritis and herniated
discs L4L5, in neck and now my thorasic back is in bad shape. By mid day I'm unable to stand. I would recommend injections for a temporary solution. KR
