Daughter with cylindrical eye power

My daughter has -1.25 (right eye) and -1.5(left eye) and doctor has said she has cylindrical eye power and has to wear the glasses constantly.
My questions are considering that my daughter is aged 6.5 yrs:
1. Is this considered high power?
2. Can this be ever cured (can she go without glasses anyday ;meaning no lenses either)?
3. Does she need to wear the glasses always? If not, when should she be wearing it? She can see near vision and is able to read the book very easily. And I also understand from her school that she is able to read the black-board without trouble.
Given the above background, will the power increase if she does not wear the glasses constantly?

4. What could be her diet that could improve the eyesight and also resolve this cylindrical power once and for all?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Sarang
