Multiple, conflicting opinions from doctors

I had pain while putting weight on my foot after slipping on a step. At the suggestion of the emergency clinic, I went to an orthopedist. The emergency clinic and orthopedist had both did x-rays, neither saw any problems. After 2 more weeks of heel pain, I had an MRI. The orthopedist diagnosed a fracture in my heel bone.

After 5 weeks on crutches, he advised that I start walking on it again. Shortly after, I had a follow up MRI. The doctor told me it was still really broken and to stop putting weight on it. At this point, I went to an orthopedic surgeon for a 2nd opinion.

The orthopedic surgeon did an x-ray and looked at the same MRI the orthopedist saw, but felt the bone looked good and told me to start walking on it. He didn't seem to think very highly of the orthopedist's opinion.

So, now I have 2 opposite ideas on whether or not I should be walking. I'm not sure what to do. Perhaps a 3rd opinion? I realize professionals of all kinds like to contradict each other (as a software developer, I can relate), but this has me very nervous.
