Neuropathy

I woke from tkr surgery with no feeling in my heel and part of my foot..also burning in my shin and calf. My first EMG was normal. Had nerve decompression surgery on the peroneal nerve 4 months ago. The symptoms have worsened and my recent EMG was normal. Lyrica doesn"t help..I don't know what to do. I have a hard time walking/standing. When I sit my whole leg falls asleep and I can't take it anymore. What is causing this? Please help

Hi there!

Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include nerve compression, nerve injury, neuropathy, myopathy, a few neuro-degenerative conditions etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a neurologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
