Osteomyelitis

I had osteomyelitis from 1965-1970.  I spent 2nd thru 5th grades mostly hospitalized.  There were only 2 doctors in the USA at that time that supposedly knew anything about the disease then.  My family was forced to move from New Mexico to California for me to be treated.  I was an antibiotic guinea pig during those years.  I was told they finally got it under control without amputation when I was 8.  I am now 50 and have recently been having some pain and tenderness in the same area on my lower leg that the disease ravaged back then.  I am extremely nervous about this.  Radiographs do show 3 suspicious areas on and in the bone, but I have no way of knowing if these abnormal areas are remnants of my childhood disease or a recent reoccurance.  Any advice or do you know of anyone I could discuss this with further to get some answers?  If so, please email me at ***@****           Thanks in advance.
