Total Knee Replacement & Staph Infection

Anyone else end up severly septic from a staph infection on a ventilator, in renal failure with adrenal gland insufficiency and aspirated pnumonia and given 6units of blood 6months after thier knee was replaced besides me?? I felt like I had a "cold" for 6 months then my husband found me passed out in the hallway and went to the ER next thing I know I'm waking up 14 days later on a ventilator with my family all around because they were told I wasn't going to survive (fooled them)! Am I the only one with thus much bad luck? And the worse part us the dang knee hurts more now then before it was replaced! Go figure. Help here - am I like a rare case? I'm 45yrs old - I was 42 when thus happened and have never been right since...and paranoid to even get a "cold" now.
