ankle fusion/achilles lengthening pain

Does any one have pain in one area and then the pain is felt in another area of the foot/ankle.  Pain jumps all over.Surgery was May 2012.  I was told I shouldnt take Ibuproven because it comprises healing but in better days Ibuprofen helped pain I had before surgery.thanks!

This discussion is related to Achilles tendinitis - no health insurance.

Hi there!

Well, this could occur due to inflammation or nerve compression due to edema/ swelling on the injured structures and should heal with time. Unnecessary use of NSAIDS is typically avoided. These should be used if the pain is moderate-severe. One could also try using ice-packs/ warm compresses with adequate rest and intermittent limb elevation and see if this seems to help.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
