help forr neck disc 4 and 5

My problem began one day when cold air started a sever migrane (migraine), I had not had migraines since I was in my 20's. I am now in my 60's.  I then had sever right side face , jaw, neck and head pain after a wisdom tooth extraction. The diagnosis went from rare gland infection to triginamal nerve problem. Neurologist now says neck disc problems from degeneration or old injury is the problem.. Now the neurolgist wants me to see a neuro surgeon.

The medicine given me were tizanidine ( couldn't take) Neurontin 150mg (helped but weight gain, most recent injections of kenolog and pain killer (this is causing my blood pressure to be out of control.)

My neck hurts more late in the evening and night. I also have pain sometime under my eye, in my ear and up the back of my head.  It hurts to brush my  hair.  Has anyone had a similiar problem? I need help !

I have just started to have similar headaches like you describe.  I was thinking it is my teeth, I have two broken teeth on the upper right and some cavity decay on those two teeth... I am on very strong narcotics for pain and they did not touch this headache... it only went away after taking Advil.  I haven't gone to the doctor yet... but atleast now you know you are not alone.  Hope you feel better soon.
