how much time do i have to rest after epidural cortizone injection into lumbar spine

Should I rest or restrict my activities after an epidural cortizone/lidocaine/marcaine injection into L3 L4 and L4-L5? . WIll walking make it worse? sitting makes it hurt. SHould I lie down for the whole day after? when can i return to Physcial therapy for my neck?

As this is the spine be sure with hygiene and avoid any infection and follow some restricted movements till 24-48 hours.
After that you can do your daily activities and after 2 days you can do your Physical therapy as the pain and inflammation at the site of injection would have reduced to minimal level. Take care!
