on-going pain after spinal fusion

My husband had spinal fusion 15 years ago and did very well until 2007. Since then, periods of intense pain and awful muscle spasms. The pain clinic has done epidurals, cauterized the nerves they say grew back after the surgery and now only seem to want to medicate him with heavier and heavier drugs. The hardware is still in place. He's only 56 - and can't seem to find any long term relief.  Is this as good as it's going to get? Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Hello,

He need to diagnose the problem perfectly and has to confirm if there are any complications of the previous spinal fusion etc.

Follow up near an orthopedician for an MRI and to find out the progression of any complications he had after the spinal fusion.

If required he would need surgery. Try going for physiotherapy which helps.

Take care!
