whats causing my wrist pain?

whats causing my wrist pain?

Over the past few months i have had pain in my left wrist, i cant remember haveing a fall or any major accident that would have set it off. In the last 2 weeks the pain has got allot worse to the piont where it hurts to move my wrist at all and i cant pick up anything or put pressure on it. It is painfull to touch and swells up all the time.

The pain starts at the base of my thumb joint on the wrist and travels up into my thumb.

I have been to the doctor and he just puts it down to me having JHS (joint hypermobility) and has reffered my to a local physiotheraist even though i already see a physio a the royal national ortherpedic hospital in london who says its not to do with my JHS.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be causing this pain and how to fix it? Help please!!

You need to visit an orthopaedician who would advise an X-ray. If your bones are intact it ought to be due to tendons/muscles and for this you need to take rest and anti inflammatory drugs.

Proper diagnosis for treatment is important and go for an Orthopaedician appointment and examination.

Take care!
