Praying you feel better and get the rest your body is craving. We miss you.......

Becky - you don't have to make that trip to the post office. You can ask the mail man to deliver it again on another day when you know someone can answer the door to receive it. Same thing if it's UPS- you can go online and schedule a day for the delivery. We did that one when we ordered our laptop.
As for the fluids, I never knew blood thinners caused fluid retention. Is there any way they can insert a shunt or permanent drain to keep it down rather than poking you every few weeks?
I hope the MRI just shows scar tissue. After all you've been through it's seems like the most logical outcome.
Just know everyone is thinking of you and sending lots of love.

Hello Becky,
I can't believe what you have been through, of course it would be incredibly draining. I think you have a beautiful spirit and you never complain!! and you have every right to. I hope that this week will get better for you so you can enjoy the wedding. Sending you hugs,
Colleen
Good to see you post Becky, just sorry you are having such a hard go of it..hoping things will improve for you soon. Hope you are able to enjoy the wedding next week, maybe it will bring your spirit up a bit.

Hi everyone....
I'm sorry to keep you worrying. I just find it so hard to get up and to the computer these days...I'm always exhausted, even when I do nothing - it's incredibly frustrating.
My stomach is still very swollen but I'm hesitant to have it drained...the doctor told me that as long as I'm on the blood thinners, I'll always have to deal with the extra fluid. It's kind of pointless when it just keeps coming right back...
I visited my doctor's in Toronto and the surgeon was a little concerned about how my incision is healing...it's really hard and lumpy in some spots and soft and squishy in other spots. He didn't think it was disease recurrence but more likely scar tissue. Regardless, he's ordered an MRI to be done - I don't have the date for it yet, but hopefully it will be soon.
Like I said, just really tired these days. My sister took me out shopping for the first time (my best friends wedding is next weekend and I needed a dress) and I had to use a wheelchair to get around - I can't walk too far and tire super easily. I just wish I could get a little energy...it's pretty depressing. I'm still randomly throwing up as well...my appetite is virtually nothing and I eat about once a day...I'm lucky if it stays down! I started my morning throwing up after drinking a glass of water...it's just draining after a while, you know?
Anyways, sorry I haven't been around too much...thanks for all your concern. I'll try to pop in more often... :)
Love Becky
p.s. I haven't gotten the package yet Heidi, but I do have a slip to pick something up at the postoffice...I just haven't gone out yet to get it!

She's been updating her Caring Bridge. She seems to be doing OK but is dealing with a lot of fatigue and swelling.
