How is Donna doing??

Hi everyone.  I was wondering if anyone could give me an update on Donna?  It has been awhile since I have seen any info on how she is doing.  I don't want to bother her, so I have not sent her any notes or PM's.  I pray she is doing ok.  Thanks for any info.  Love, Kasie

Donna would again like to thank you all for your notes and PM's.  She is sorry she can't respond to them but she is overwhelmed with how much you all care for her.  Of course knowing Donna it is easy to care for her isn't it?  The nausea meds are not doing much good.  I had wondered about Aloxi but nothing they give her is really going to help at this point. The tumor pushes up on her stomach so much and the nausea comes from sinus drainage. She is still on enough pain meds to keep her comfortable.  She sleeps a lot and as of today I am stopping my texts msgs to her unless she txts me 1st so I will keep you updated as I can. I will miss our nightly txt msg fest, but I don't want to take the chance that I will wake her up if she forgot to turn off her phone.  Your continued well wishes and prayers are appreciated by Donna and she thanks you all.  Meg I will pass along your msg this afternoon.
Love,
Jan

I am so grateful that my beautiful sister has had someone to lean on like Donna and the rest of you.  I pray that Donna feels no pain and am glad that she is surrounded by friends and family.

I don't know if you'll read this or if Jan can pass this along.  I've tried to send this message to you before but perhaps this is the only way.

You were so kind and personal when I first came in march after my mother's dx and I really appreciated your kind words and your hope.  I pray that you are at peace, without any pain and can have these last few moments without any suffering.  I will always remember you, despite never meeting you... because of how cared for you made me feel when my own mother was vulnerable and unable to be present for me.  Thank you Donna... Love, Meg

I also spoke with Donna last week and she is getting weaker and weaker, and she is not in any pain. She does know that we all love her and will miss her terribly.
I cannot stand the thought of Donna no longer being with us. But I take comfort in the fact of knowing that although my time here has also been cut short, that one day, probably sooner rather than later, I will once again be with Donna, I will finally meet LesLee, and together all of us there will be your guardian angels and will watch over you all.

Thank you Jan for the update, I'm sorry your not feeling well and hope soon things will get better for you soon with the Chemo. You are such a strong and loving woman to do all the things you do for your friends even when you are having such a rough time of it yourself.
I drew strength from the example of courage that you both have shown us when I went for my recent surgery, and knew that no matter what happened I would be able to handle it because of the way women like you both(and all the others) have carried on with life while you fight this horrid disease.
love
Valerie

I am so sorry I have not been providing updates on Donna.  I have been sick since chemo on Thurs & have only had the energy for my nightly text sessions with Donna.

Donna stopped her IV Fluids a couple of days ago so she does not have much time now.  She is not in pain, but they can't control the nausea & vomiting completely. i wish they would give her Aloxi, but it is to expensive for hospice care. When she isn't sick she is sleeping.  She did say that she felt fair for awhile today, but it did not last long. She is not up to company anymore and won't even let her mother or MIL visit.  She just doesn't have the strength & she doesn't want anyone to see her like this.  She WILL NOT suffer.  Her body will start shutting down and it will make her very sleepy and she will just drift off.

She asked me to tell you that she is struggling to read these msgs (because of the angle of her bed and computer) and she is to weak to answer, but she appreciates them very much.  She loves everyone and thanks you for your love, prayers, and support.

For those of you that got a text msg from me the other day that had a song and a poem with a picture, it was from Donna.  She sent it to me and I fwd it to as many of you that I have phone numbers for.  It was very sweet and I wish I could put it on here.
I will keep you all posted.

I am so happy when I can log on here, look at my home page, and see that Donna has sent a note or posted something recently.  How I wish I could keep that happy feeling every day.

Donna is not doing well... She sleeps alot due to the IV lines that keep her pain free. She is at home with hospice care and a loving family friend taking care of her also.. Her husband is there with her...

I wish no I prayed that I could give you better news... but alas I can't.  Donna knows how much everyone thinks of her and prays for her.  We are all sending her the most positive vibes there are... Ronni
