1 week post op...i fell and i think i hurt something

Okay I had a lap and my ov, tube, and giant 30 cm cyst removed.  I sliped off the couch and twisted my body trying not to.

Now the side that was removed is hurting.

How will I know if I riped something?

I used Co-codamol 30/500. Took 6 of those a day for quite a while, but I did have very extensive incisions (vertical and horizontal) and untreated constipation which added to the pain. I was more or less off them after 6 weeks and only needed one or two on bad days.

You need a prescription to get that strength and be weary of them as they can make you addicted. They also make you constipated, so make sure you take a laxative daily as well.

I did over do it. I'm still in a lot of pain.  The hydrocodone doesn't work.at all.

What did you use?

Ouch. The stitches will hold quite a lot, and at least you had a lap, so the extend of cuts and stitches would be minimal. I never read much about laparoscopy as it was never an option for me, so I dont know how much they actually do cut.

Watch out for bruising and swelling, if you get any of that contact your doctor asap. Same if the pain persists for days. Might be worth getting a phone or regular consultation with your GP or nurse just to be on the safe side.

Hopefully you are ok, pain would be common even if you just attempted to walk too far one day. Take it easy for a few days and you should be ok assuming you didnt hurt anything.
