Pain in ovaries. Are they Cysts?

Hi all!
I'm 21 and thank the lord never had an ovarian cyst. The past year I've noticed that when I'm ovulating I get some pain In my right ovary. It feels like a dull ache.
This time though, the pain is in my left ovary DURING my period. It gets worse when I urinate and poop (sorry tmi) and it feels like a lot of pressure.
Is this a cyst or just normal period problems.

Thank you!

Some women tend to get pain during ovulation. There's actually a name for it - Mittelschmerz. This pain you're experiencing now during your period could be a cyst or just some period pain. I wouldn't worry about it. If it's bothersome enough, you could take an NSAID such as ibuprofen or naproxen.
