Bleeding with Cyst

Last Tuesday I was diagnosed with a small ovarian cyst on my right ovary. After only going off the pill for about 2 weeks, the cyst already formed. On Thursday I decided i would start taking the pill again to see if that would help take away the pain, and hopefully make the cyst disappear. However, today (Sunday), I got what seems to be my period. I am assuming due to me going off the pill my period came earlier than usual, and since I just restarted the pill only a few days ago, my period still came down. However, could the bleeding be due to my ovarian cyst? And if so, should I be worried? It is nothing excessive, but still sorta weird considering my strange week. Let me know what you think. sorry you are in pain and have a cyst. Did they say what type of cyst it was and what size? I'm no expert, but starting the pill made me bleed too- I checked with my gyn and was told this was normal. Just my experience of course.
