I am not aware of oral medicines that reduce fibroids. If you have one that is 1.6 cm, that is a small one. I was told fibroids shrink after menopause, so unless you are having troublesome symptoms, I do not think you need surgery. What does your doctor recommend?
hi, i am 42 year old have anteverted bulky measures 6.0*10.3*4.8cms and e.t 7mm, anterior wall intramural myoma of size 1.6cm and both ovaries are nomal in size. so please suggest me weather to go for removal of uterus or this can be cure by oral medicines
A "bulky uterus" might suggest uterine fibroids, thickening, endometriosis, or other conditons.
It probably means you have some fibroids, benign tumors of the uterus, which is a common condition. If they become troublesome, though, it could lead to surgical removal. Really heavy periods is one of the complaints.
