Can a 4cm cyst cause stomach gurgling

Hi! I am 38 years old and last week I had an hystosonagram done due to intermittent lower ab pain over the past few years. I have not been on birth control for over 10 years. The sonogram showed a 4cm cyst on my left ovary. (It's my right side but she said left, so meaning her left I guess). She did say it looks like it has blood inside and I am on the watch and wait thing. I go back in 6 weeks to make sure it has dissolved. It is sitting on my colon. My question is, can this cause stomach gurgling? It's worse after I eat but it has been going on for about a month now. I keep reading how this is a sign of ovarian cancer. I had a CA125 test done about 1 1/2 weeks before the cyst was found. This was done by my GP due to my concerns. They said that it along with my other blood work was normal. I just hate to wait another 6 weeks if I should be doing more. I did also see a Gastro this week and he says it could be IBS related but wants to due a colonoscopy to rule out Chrons. I appreciate any input. Thank you!!

Hi, this is my first time that they have found an actual cyst. (first time I had the ultrasound done also). If this one does go away on it's own then I am sure that has been my issues in the past. I guess I will be back on birth control :( I would definitely have your gyno check you for cyst so the proper course of action can be taken. I have been learning a lot about them for the past week since I found out that I have one. Lol, I know that a lot of the stuff on the internet is not legit and can also be more scary. I try to stick with this site and places like Mayo Clinic or the Ovarian Cancer sites. It's better to know for sure what's going on I guess than stressing more with not knowing. The next few weeks are going to be long for me as I wait for my next check up! :)

Hi Lisa, my gyno did say that there appeared to be blood inside like it was rupturing inside and the blood looked splattered causing a wavy pattern from the way it looked to me. I know that a Corpus Lithem cyst can have blood also which should go away on its own but wasn't sure if it looked different from a chocolate cyst, She did have another gyno come in the room and they looked at it together. My symptoms started about a month ago. The lower ab pain, constant urge to urinate, constipation, twisting pains in lower ab and rectum and lower back pain. when I have had these in the past, they generally would last 2 to 3 days. The lower back pain (dull pain) was more consistent this time and I have never had the stomach gurgling go on for a few weeks. Hope every thing turns out ok for you. It is scary to wait and see, think I would rather them just take everything out lol. Please keep me informed, hugs

I'm sure they I've read on here that they can tell if it's a chocolate cyst , when cyst is filled with blood. What were your symptoms of cysts? As I think I may have one. Hope all goes well for you x

also wanted to add that I had a endometrial biopsy done a few month ago and it was normal. Possible test for endo to come soon. I guess the cyst could be from that too. Would she be able to tell it was a chocolate cyst during the ultrasound?
