ovarian cyst and high iron are they related?

Hello. I have endometriosis and had lap done in Nov 2008. I have a light period every 28 days and lasts for only 2 days. I call it spotting as it is NOTHING like I had before my lap. I have been tired and moody and in a lot of pain on my left side. I started noticing these signs back in September of 2009. I went and had blood work done and an internal ultrasound. My blood work came back showing HIGH iron. My untrasound shows a small cyst on my left ovary.

The questions I have are: can a small cyst cause pain on a daily basis, walking, sitting etc? Is high iron and cysts related or are these two separate issues?

I go to see my endometriosis specialist next week and I am hoping for some answers however if anyone can think of  questions I should be asking or if you have gone through anything similar I would appreciate hearing from you. Any help is appreciated. :-)

Thank you.

Yes, a small cyst can cause pain like that.  See the health pages (top right) for more symptoms.  I would have to say that the high iron is not due to the cysts.  I suffer from low iron and had cysts.
