Hi everyone.
I have been feeling sick since right before Thanksgiving. I've had pain in my lower left side of my stomach, aching over my pelvis and feeling as if I've done too many situps. The sides of my stomach also feel sore or ache.I've also had nausea, and have just been feeling very tired. I went to the ER, where they did blood work, and a CT scan they said they didnt see anything and sent me home...this was at the end of Nov. I went to my gyne and I asked him to do an ultrasound, where they found a cyst that is 1cmx 2cm which is very small. He said with a cyst that size, I shouldn't be feeling any symptoms, and most dont have any symptoms until a cyst is around 4cm. The cyst, is not ON my right ovary but near it. So he said it wouldnt be a functional cyst. I asked him if it's something that I should be worried about, and he said no, it's so small.
I've also had a colonoscopy done (yesterday) which came back normal. My question is, that how can I be having so many symptoms from such a small cyst? The cyst is near my right ovary, but my left side hurts/aches in my lower stomach and over where your ovary sits. When I drive, it feels worse because I feel like everything in that area is compressing. Neither my PCP or gyne seem to be very concerned with this, but it is causing me a lot of problems, and interrupting my daily life. And no one seems to have an answer for me, it's very frustrating because I've been like this for over 6 weeks now :(
Could there be another cyst on the left side that the ultrasound could have missed? And has anyone else had a cyst that wasn't quite on their ovary?
Any info is greatly appreciated...
