Surgery v wedding

Hi there, so I have been having a lot of pain in my lower abdomen the past 3 months seen 2 GP's and finally got a referral to specialist and have found I have a large ovarian cyst, I have been put on the urgent list which means I should have it removed within 30 days, I am getting married in 56 days, my question is how did everyone else's recovery time go? My dr says a week should be plenty I know everyone is different, I'm just very worried and weighing up the pros and cons, should I wait until after my wedding, but worried ill get the severe pain on wedding day or worse on honey moon overseas. Any advice would be appreciated.

If your doctor deemed it urgent, get it as soon as possible.  That way you'll be pretty well off on your wedding day.  If you get it exactly 26 days before your wedding, then good luck.  You may be able to stand for the ceremony, but don't plan on heels.  You will probably still want to sit down quite often.  If you get it within the next two weeks, you should be pretty much good as new by your wedding day.  It took me about a month before I felt comfortable enough to return to the college, and my campus is only 5 minutes in any direction.  It would be better to get it now than risk needing the surgery while you're overseas.

If your doctor thinks its urgent I would probably have it taken care of. I've had several cysts rupture and its really painful. If your at risk of it rupturing (if its a large one) I would consider it. IMO it would be scary to be overseas and need urgent care. I hope you can find a solution. Is BCP an option to help dissolve the cyst?? Congrats on getting married!!
