Ah I meant 7cm! its like 7cm x 5.8 x 4cm or something which is weird i cant imagine the shape :S
Ah thank you - I am so nervous now. It's 6cm now and it's now considered to be a 'complex' cyst which has worried me. I've never met my surgeon (damn Nhs....) but hey...fingers crossed. I am so nervous I won't wake up...but I guess I won't know........
Wonderful its laparoscopy you should be back to normal in no time!! The scars are literally tiny, my friend had one same time as my surgery and I was so jealous of how fast she recovered!
Hey - I'm having mine removed next Friday, I'm so nervous now. Its by laparoscopy. Hopefully it'll all go smoothly :)
Hi I had a 16 cm cm cyst last year june 2012 and I am 21, these little devils grow very fast so make sure to stay in contact with your doctor.. I brushed off the appointments until one day the swelling made me look a tad pregnant. The surgery was via laparotomy and I lost most of my right ovary. I have hear that the DIM supplement is good for estrogen health and perhaps may help with cysts I am going to try that and castor oil because just now I have another ovarian cysts. Best of luck to you both!
Just so you know - I looked into it and I think peppermint tea is handy for gas pains and people recommend it post op - but I think ginger tea is the one which is good for nausea :)
Hi kate
Thanks for the advice I will definitley look into it!
Hope your surgery goes well!
Hello - just thought I'd say hi as I'm only 21 and also have a cyst - mine is 7cm as of yesterday (it was 4.5 in March) and I am due to have it removed 2 weeks today. People often seem to say peppermint tea is handy for nausea but I have no idea - it may be worth chatting to your doctor about the availability of any anti-nausea meds.
I hope things go ok, keep us updated!
