Surgery Thursday

Hey all,

Well after having been sick last time I was supposed to have surgery the time has come to get down to it so please think of me and say a little prayer on Thursday if you remember.

I don't know what's going to happen.  Options are threefold.  Laparoscopy and hysterscopy to remove cyst, possibly left ovary and endo, plus another surgeon will also be there to look at matting of sigmoid colon and possibility of recurring rare tumour in abdominal wall, plus remove bleeding haemmoroid.

Gyno has told me if it's simple she'll just do the laparoscopy to remove what needs removing or else she'll have to open me up further and do more extensive surgery OR if it's too much of a mess she will close me up and send me to a specialist in Brisbane (1000 miles away).

As you can understand I'm a little concerned so just sharing with people who know what it's like to have the UNKNOWN ahead.  I'll keep you posted. I've been putting up with endo for years so hope it can help me plus have had ongoing pain in left ovary for 6 months or so now so I'll be glad to get to the bottom of it all.

Good luck on Thursday and try not to worry too much. What we go through in our minds is actually worse sometimes than the recovery :) We torture ourselves. I will pray for you and you'll see that everything's going to be okay.  Good luck, and please take it easy and rest when you make it back home. Let other people do things for you.

I have said a prayer for you just now.  I'll try to remember to pray for you on Thursday.  Pray for me because I have to have surgery Jan. 13th.  My doctor is doing a lap to remove a chocolate cyst.  However, he said if he sees endo all over he may do a hysterectomy.  I am worried but I keep reminding myself God is in control.  Do you have chocolate cysts?  I wasn't having too many symptoms when my cyst was discovered.  It has grown and that is why he wants to remove it.

Hi there,
Big hugs to you. I do know what it is like to not know what you are going to wake up to.
It's very scary and worrisome. I will be praying for you on Thurs and wishing you nothing but success and a quick recovery. Keep the faith and know we're thinking of you.
