most recent tv/us and fibroids

got my results of my most recent tv/us, right ovary is same as before, several simple cysts,
left ovary is still enlarged, but cyst is smaller than last us.  "nonhomogeneous hypoechoic area" do you knowwhat that means?  Had a ct scan in june and it said 6 cm complex cyst on left ovary.  should a complex cyst just resolve or burst?  Also, does anyone know anything about fibroid tumors?  have had one for years, only causes heavy, long periods, not much pain.  this past year it has doubled in size and have constant pelvic pressure and feels like menstrual cramps all the time. (plus the ovarian pain) and low back pain.  am going to new gyn on sept 5 to see about all this and also ablation.  thanks for any info.

thanks for your thoughts.  last tv/us said cyst is smaller, but ovary is still enlarged.  wonder what that means?  I wonder when evey ct & tv/us i've had is read by a different radiologist, they are just giving their "impression" correct?  also have thickened endo stripe of 16mm.  thought when I got closer to menop would have less problems not more. i will be 45 in a month.  some people i talk to say jus get it all taken out and other say don't let them talk you into a hyst.  so who knows what the dr will suggest.  have to wait one more week before i even see the gyn.  even tho they said cyst is getting smaller on left, i still have pain.  sometimes it only lasts 1-2 minutes sometimes longer.  not unbearable, just sharp twinges that come & go.  but i always have the feeling of pelvic pressure, could be from the fibroid?
time will tell.

i would look into having that 6 cm cyst removed ... over 5 cm seems to be the standard of care ... my guess is the nonhomogenous hypoechoic area" could be a complex cyst ...they werent very specific were they ... it is very very rare for this to clear up on its own at that size and an exploratory  laparoscope and cyst resection is probably what they should do if ur interested in preserving ur fertility ... if u wanted it all out ... now is the tie o discuss that with the doc as well ... see if u can get referred to a gyn onc if u want it all gone
god bless
