Ovary keeps flipping. Please help!!

Does anyone have experience with an ovary that won't stay in place? I Only have one ovary. I lost the other 3 years ago due to torsion. Now my second one is causing me lots of pain. In November, I had surgery to remove adhesions that caused my ovary to flip and uterus to stick to my abdominal wall. They cleaned everything up and put my organs back into place. however, during recovery I was still in a lot of pain. I finally returned to work in January only to notice that if I felt good enough to do any exercising I would be in extreme pain the next day for several days straight. Fast forward to being put on BC pills because they suspected a cyst was the trouble. This past week, I went back to the doctor for another ultrasound and he confirmed my ovary is in the wrong place Again. I'm SO frustrated because now my doctor is suggesting another surgery to either reposition it or remove it. I'm Only 34 and don't want to be without any ovaries. Any advice? Suggestions? Please help!!

My primary physician recommended that I get a second opinion because I am so young.  My primary thinks that the ovary has moved again due to adhesion's.  The specialist she is sending me to has many years of experience so hopefully, he will give me some alternative methods. I've had several manual exams and the pain does not seem to be coming from my bladder although I do have urgency issues again.  After my surgery in Nov, I was told that I don't have endometriosis. Thank you for your reply!

So do you have a cyst on the ovary or are adhesions the suspected cause again? Do you possibly have endometriosis? Or could the pain be coming from the bladder or bowel? Adhesions can cause bowel problems too which can be mistaken for gynecologic problems.

Your concerns have merit. The removal of ovaries causes many increased health risks and reduced quality of life since the ovaries are essential our whole lives producing hormones into a woman's 80's.

Also, more surgery = more adhesions which can cause other problems such as bowel obstruction down the road.

Best of luck to you in deciding how to proceed!
