Thank you so much for your quick in put on my "problem". I have already been referred to a gyn/onc, and he is the one who is not absolutely sure that I don't have cancer. If I do, it is slow growing. If I were not experienceing an increase in symptoms he would not be thinking surgery. I have had the CA125 , and it was in the normal range, unfortunately none of my Doc's feel it is a relieable diagnostic test. My previous hysterectomy was abdominal. It was like a mardi gras internally. There was a laundry list of problems which the surgery completely solved. I think if I weren't so many years out from the surgery I would not be as concerned. (like weeds suddenly growing in sand) I know I need to rely on my Doctor and the information I am given to decide what to do. I was hoping that there were other women who might be in similar circumstances so I could hear what they had done, or were advised to do. Information is power !!! I have a recheck this Thursday and another transvaginal ultrasound scheduled.
Thank you for the information and your good thoughts.
It is good to know there is a place to write honestly about things like this.
A hug back....

I'm sorry you are having these problems and symptoms. Especially, as I'm sure you thought all these problems were behind you once you had your hysterectomy!!!! It sounds as if a little bit of tissue was left after your surgery, and unfortunantly, it grew back with cysts. Have you had a CA125 done? Have you thought about seeing a gynecologist/oncologist? The extra three years of training really make a difference when it comes to female surgery. Sorry to hear that that is exactly what you may be facing again. Was you hyst done laproscopically? I had my hyst done abdominally and I came through okay with all benign, too. It is a little harder and longer to heal from, but gives the doctor a lot more area to move around and hopefully, remove EVERYTHING this time. Having cyst reoccurences after a hyst is not all that uncommon though. It takes a VERY small amount of tissue to start growing again. Best of luck to you, on however you decide to procede. If I were you, I would definantly talk to my gyn about a gyn/onc. I think that would be one of the best places to start in the treatment of your condition. Please, take care and let us all know how you are doing. We care.
Hugs,
Shari
