How much bleeding is normal after laparoscopy?

I had my laparoscopic surgery for ovarian cyst on 31st May,2016.However since then,I am experiencing spotting/vaginal bleeding.Sometimes it is light bleeding, but sometimes I have to put pads for it.My period came in June but was later skipped in the month of July.I asked my doctor to which she said that it is due to Endosis tablet which I am taking as a medicine after surgery. After that my periods came in late August and since then, the period is very irregular. In september,My periods came around 4th..after that light spotting. But then again it started on 14th.I am concerned now as to whether this is normal or not? Please help.
