Small left ovary pain

Hi, my concern is my left ovary pain. I'm 17. I don't have a heavy flow while I'm on my period but two months ago I had a very sharp pain in my left ovary that sent me to my knees. The only thing that would help was laying in fetal position on my bed. After I had the sickening pain I got my regular 5-7 day period and everything was fine...no cramping. I believe that it was a cyst that had ruptured. Ever since that period 2 months ago I have had slight pain in my left ovary. My period last month didn't have any cramping and seemed to be pretty normal. But ever since I had what I believed to be a cyst that ruptured I have had small bearable pain in my left ovary that I can feel through random times of the day. Could this be another cyst growing? Is it anything to be concerned about? I plan to go to the gyno soon to get it checked out, just wanted some opinions. Thanks in advanced.

Thank you, that's what I thought the pain was and am hoping that's all it is.

I have heard that the pain from a ruptured cyst can be quite intense. And you can have some pain for quite awhile afterwards. However, it is also possible for it to cause an infection but it seems you would have symptoms besides pain. If you do not feel any improvement soon, you should see a doctor.
