Solid ovarian adnexal mass

On a pelvic ultrasound, there was an incidental finding of a left ovary adnexal mass. It is 1.8 cm and completely solid. No blood flow and no weeping fluids. There is no history of ovarian cancer my CA 125 level came back at 53 which is slightly elevated, but was also on my period at the time, and I am pre-menopausal, I am booked for surgery on April 11. I had a CAT scan because I’m super nervous about all of this and the CAT scan came back showing no adnexal mass identified and everything looks normal. I will go for a follow up ultrasound to confirm this April 3, but I am hearing that CT scans can miss an ovarian mass , please let me know if anyone has any more information on this or anyone experience this also has anyone had a solid mass that has resolved on its own. Thanks in advance for your help

I wish I could offer reassurance, but I'm going through something similar (solid mass identified on ultrasound, referred for MRI) and am super nervous as well, so just wanted to express solidarity. Sending good thoughts for your follow-up ultrasound - hope all goes well!

Hi, thanks for the response! Thanks for the solidarity. This has been agony for me. Can I ask some questions? How big is your solid mass? Is there any other characteristics of it they mentioned? Did you do Ca 125 blood levels? Also why MRI and not CT scan. I had the CT scan because they highly recommended it. As I said the CT shows no mass and they say an CT can miss a mass confused!  and now I have a follow up ultrasound on Monday!
Agony is right, ugh. Mine is 1.7 cm so very similar in size to yours. Unfortunately, they haven't given me much information! Not sure why they're referring me for an MRI rather than a CT scan?! The doctor said in her note that while it's not likely to be cancer, they need to do further imaging because it wasn't on a scan I had 2.5 years ago. But of course everything I read online has me freaking out.
So my CT showed no mass, and I did a follow up ultrasound today and it shows the same mass at 1.7 cm solid but stable and no blood flow so they said it’s reassuring it hasn’t changed and now I have to decide if I should get a surgery to remove my ovary and tube or watch it!

Hi, how are you doing? Did you decide to go forward with surgery or to watch and wait?
