How long do u have 2stay in hospital afta a laparotomy? Where xactly do dey cut u? Do i need 2carry sanitary pads?
I was admitted on a Friday morning and released the following Monday morning, thankfully with no complications. Also cut vertically from just below the navel for a length of approx. 4.5 inches.
It is a good idea to bring sanitary pads, although they will provide them if necessary. NO wings! They should be the most absorbent ones you can find.

Everyone is different, and it depends exactly what your op is. I had BSO, (removal of ovaries) with a few complications, so I was in exactly seven days, but three of those were before op. I was cut vertically from navel to bikini line. Check with your surgeon.
