Can cysts return??

I had my left ovary removed due to a complex cysts. It was done by laparotomy (Feb. 09), my question is I am getting the same feeling on the same side when I had the cyst.

Is it possible that cyst has developed again without an ovary being there? The pain at the moment is about 2-3, bearable. It comes and goes not constant, I take Aleve for it.

No, I have not been back to my gyno except for the follow up due to surgery back in Feb.

There is a good  chance that what you are feeling is an adhesion - internal scar tissue. I'm sure someone will come along to correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe you would have a cyst without an ovary.  That being said.  I would go back to the doc for a check up as there is a condition called ovarian remnant syndrome, where women can regrow ovaries.

Good luck
