worried about spotting

hi ladies...i have had this cyst/tumor for 3 years and 4 months now..had my last transvaginal ultrasound 3 weeks ago..it was 4.5cm (back then) and now it is 8.6cm..there is fluid in the center and solid around that..solid is alot larger than the fluid...no septations..and it does have irregular borders. Im not distended and no ascites..the obgyn said since ive had this for so long and i dont have ascites that she is not really worried about it being "bad". every since i have had this cyst/tumor my periods have been so messed up..id go months and months without a period..then only spot..then same thing again..only longer without a period..it has been about a year since i had a "normal" period..and im 46 y/o. recently i have been spotting and its been going on for a little over a week..could this be due to being perimenopausal? im worried it could be a bad sign for ovc? i dont have any other symptoms of ovc tho. and it has been there for over 3 years so as my gyno has said if it were ovc i would have soo many other signs such as ascites. what do you think? btw..im having surgery jan 8th.

I too have ovarian cysts. I had a 6cm complex cyst that by God's Grace that I do not deserve had dissolve! Glory be to God. Now I had an ultrasound last month and they found two more cysts one on each ovary :( I have not had a period yet last month maybe due this cysts. I am getting lascopic done to see what is going on inside my womb :( I really don't want this surgery though. I do not want scare tissue building up :(

Your doctor is probably right, but you should ask for surgery sooner, can they see you alot sooner, that is so far away from now, I am getting surgery dec 21st and i am a scared wreck. The bleeding get be cause you are pre-menoposal and/or the cyst rupturing.
