cyst?

I have been told i have a large amount of free fluid around my pelvis and right ovary and tubal area, and that this may be due to a burst cyst (i have PCOS) or there may be an infection and i have to get a history examination and an STD check.  I am very concerned as I have just found out i am pregnant (this was not known when i saw dr). Would a cyst or infection harm my baby?

I am sorry you are going through this.  I do not have an answer to your question.  You could try googling infection or STD during pregnancy and see what comes up.  It is very common to have a cyst on your ovary during the first stages of pregnancy.  You could also post this post over in the Maternal and Child forum.  They my be of some help.  WHen do you see you gyn again?  Please keep us posted.  Kasie
