questions about symptoms

I found out that I do have cysts on my ovaries, but do not know what type or how large they are. I am now 44 yrs old and have extremely painful periods including backpain, burning pain in pelvic, bloating, weight gain and just recently have been feeling very nauseous. Is the nausea normal/ I am due to have a vaginal ultrasound soon so hopefully I will know more. I cannot get into see the gyno until Sept. Sometimes I have horrible pains in my stomach-intestinal area too. Is the nausea and stomach pains normal with overian cysts? please advize. Also the doctor had to give me lorcet for pain. Does anyone else have to take pain meds for this? Thanks

thank you for your reply. It sounds as if we have a lot of the same symtoms. Oh and I do take hydrocodone for pain. I feel so sorry for you that you are going through this at such a young age. My periods never gave me any problems until i turned 40 and then it has been downhill from there. I am just ready to get a hysterectomy and be done with this pain. What does it feel like if they pop? I wonder if that is why I feel very nauseous? It is driving me crazy. Hope you feel better soon,

Hello there,

This is my stage of experience hun, I have cysts on both ofmy ovaries the right one especially. I am 18 years old and I was hospitallized because the one on my right burst. Do not be like me and think this isnt serious because IT IS! You need to goto your doctor and ask for hydrocodyn it helps with the pain in your back and ovaries. It's what I take. Cysts are very dangerous and cause unbareable periods. My periods are very irregular and are very painful because of all the medical problems I have down there. I know our age difference is a big difference but I would take advise from someone that has had them and experienced it actually popping. I wish you luck and if you have more questions let me know, ill be happy to help. Oh and my doctor put me on birth control for 6 months to get my period back on regular time maybe you should talk to yours about it.

Good luck,
Irenia :)
