I recently posted a question regarding post operative pain a week after my surgery..
Pain has subsided in my stomach but back pain keeping me awake at night..
Also would like to know if it is normal to experience night sweats after having an ovary removed through open surgery still have one ovary and both tubes..
Between back pain and nightr sweats not really getting much sleep....

god i am so glad about that!! just if things get worse or dont stop dont be afriad to call!!!

ty hunny. i am getting better, its just slow, plus i am home two weeks while dh is on base so lol its harder. this surgery was the worse for me so far..

but chronic pain is something that i live with everyday. there isnt a day i am not in pain, it suvks but life goes on. i have 3 chronic pain illnesses fibro, arthrits and myofacial pain sydrome. also suffer with chronic mirgraines, depression, anxiety etc.. but there isnt many of us that have chronic pain issues that dont have some kind of depression..
at 18 i had a tumor taking out of my left arm pit, at 21 i had my son and a very bad doctor did my c section- since then i have been in pain hell. i had a baby girl 4 years later, and durgin my pregancy i was very sick, always in huge amounts of pain. i had to choose to be on pain meds or loose my baby. so to me there was no choice...after she was 4 months old i finally got awnsers about whats going on with me..

I have had a lot of surgires in the past few years..doctors always have wanted me to wait, ever doctor we had to push to get my surgery sooner. and on every one i was right and things where much worse than they though before going in.. i have gall ballder and 12 stones removed, my thryoid and 2 goiters that where the size of gulf balls and this would have been my 2 yr with out a surgery in july... but lol now i can had a soft ball size cyst, my left ovary and f.tube out..

but i look for the good things in life to make it threw. after the gall bladder surgery i lost 50 pounds, yeah!! i have great cute kids, i am married to the love of my life. i have a ton of pets that I adore and my parents support me a lot. i have a few close friends who help out some. i am a military wife as well, so at times i am home months at a time alone, so they step in when they can and help out with the things i am not allowed to do.. so i am very lucky...

that is good hun. my ob- ugh i dont wanna get into how i feel about him...
sounds like ur are doing everything right. glad things are moving at least that is a great thing. i was told to take notta- no laxitives, or gas pains after my surgery and i was pumped full of gas for 3 hours. i wish i would have no listened and did what my gut told me too. i am sure i would be a lot better now. things are starting to get back to normal, well almost. my family doc put me on a script laxtive last week and things are going, well going lol.. my bloating is going down a little, now i only look 6 months preggers not 9. still cant fit into anything but dresses and pjs yet though. and i get a lot of pain at night- but my family doc is helping with that as well.
please dont take what i am going threw and scare urself. like i said i am not normal at all lol. if you trust ur ob- talk with them about ur feelings, if not go to your family doc. thats what i had to do. my ob wont even deal with me anymore.but i have 3 chronic pain illnesses so that could be why or he just dosent know why i am having so many issues idk.

i have a 2 huge lumpy spots, one where my incession is and the other right above it..
mine are huge though- they poke out like branches lol. i have to sleep with a pillow under my tummy for now b/c of the pain they are causing. i said things are normal with what i am going threw. ..

i have had been to the er, the ob and my family docotr. we have done xrays, ultrasounds, and a cat scan. i also went back to the ob b/c there is a fuild sack on the inside of my incession- he tried to get the fuild out with needles but it didnt work..
so he thinks things will go away on their own. like i said he has been saying that for a month now..so my family doctor and i see each other weekely to make sure i am ok...

i am 4 weeks post op today and i am still having huge but docs say what i am going threw is far out of the being normal range. i have been threw almost every test known to man since my surgery, so i have to go back thurs to see where to go from here.
if you did the walking, dont feel bad i did the walking the day i came home. been threw a few surgeries in my tummy area so i knew to get home and move as much as i could bear.
i would go with sals its most likely gas pain...also make sure mmm bowels are moving normally bathroom wise- this is what my huge issues are right now-. i didnt think it was a big deal, or didnt think about it for first couple of days, wish i did. trust me that alonw it cause huge back pain, then gas pain on top is even worse..i would call ur ob and get their thoughts on whats going on.
hope ur pain free soon!

Hi.  I can't help with the night sweats, but I am 2 weeks post op and still have pain and swelling in my stomach.  The back pain is probably due to the gas used during surgery.  Keep walking round the house and it should soon subside.  Hope you are feeling better soon.
