ovarian cystic mass

Im 18 years old just got dx for a eggplant size cystic mass on and in my uterus thry are scheduling emergency surgery i gk minday to meet the obgyn / surgeon ive had it for almost four years now going by the symptoms and how large it is they have to do like a cessarrian on me is there a chance I can still have kids I've had back and hip pains and so they workers comped me but id like for someone who's had these removed like my swollen tubes and stuff what surgery will I go through ....

I am glad to hear they are going to try birth control pills to shrink it. Do you the dimensions of it? Some surgeons with good cystectomy skills can cut away the mass and save your ovary or at least part of it to better ensure continued normal hormone production.

as far as fertility goes if it smdorsmt shrink they r probably gna take my ovary with it

They said its on ky right ovary and foing to try birth control to shrink it ...

Welcome to the community. So this mass is in or on the uterus (maybe a fibroid) and not in/on the ovary (an ovarian cyst)? Are they going to remove just the mass and leave all your organs intact so as not to cause more harm than good as well as preserve your fertility?
