pressure on right side after cyst removal

I had a cyst removed from my right side and a lot of other stuff.  I had pressure on my right side before the cyst and now that they have removed all that stuff I am still having pressure on that side like I did before.  I thought I would feel better and not have that pressure.  Could this be something else not related to the cyst at all?  I just assumed the pressure was from the cyst because we found out about the cyst at the same time.  I just don't know what else could be causing this pressure.  They put a mesh inside of me as well to help with scar tissue, could that be causing the organs to flare up?  I was just hoping to feel better and I am not.

I think the report said cyst and a mess of stuff.  Didn't really call it endometrosis.  My doctor said I could go back to normal activities.  I really think it is my colon and intestines giving me the problem.  It will get better after a bowel movement.  I just want the peace of mind that this is just because of surgery.  I do have a CAT scan scheduled in about two weeks and I have put a call into my doctor.  I saw him yesterday and told him about the pressure on my right side, but I don't think I described it good enough, he said it is probably some muscular thing, but I know it is internal.  I am going to have faith that it is just surgery stuff and hope in 4-6 weeks I feel completely better and NO PRESSURE.

You say "stuff"  just exactally what was removed , when major  organs are removed surgically  it does leave a "space" to be filled in , the mesh is simply  a "hammock" to keep the organs in place,  Feeling discomfort in 2 weeks is completely normal, it takes a good 6 weeks for things to improve  internally.  Increase your activity daily but no lifting. Make sure you are eliminating  waste  properly, a full bladder or bowel can cause distress.

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago tomorrow.  I just expected this pressure to be gone since all that stuff was gone.

Hi,
We have a really good Ovarian Cyst forum where we talk about all sorts of cysts, the surgery etc. . C'mon over and join us..
In the meantime, I had a cyst removed in Jan. (actually the entire ovary) and yes, I did experience the same type of pain for a few weeks after surgery. Almost like a "phantom pain" as one might have after having a limb removed. I don't know how long ago your  surgery was??
Drop over to the Ovarian Cyst forum o.k.?

Talk later,
Sandy
