tumors and cysts

my missus, a reserved soul who won't go public, has mulitple uterine  tumors, the largest 10x8x5.6cms. She had part of her right ovary removed during a cesaerian 17 years ago. But now she has peripheral cysts, small, less than 5mm, all over her left ovary and is worried about losing that. She's a brave lass, 49, who runs 5kms each morning even if there's pain. I fear it's all got to come out. But that left ovary too?? She'd be left with half a right one? Any comments would be very gratefully received

I forgot one point. Please. If she loses the cysted left ovary will the remaining  half of the right ovary provide the hormones she will need?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
The uterine tumours are of large size and would probably require removal. The peripheral cysts of less than 5 mm are not large and the decision to remove that ovary is best left to the operating surgeon. Tumour markers will help in the decision. Consult your Doctor. Hope this helps.
Take care.
