Abdominal pain

A few years back, my parents and I went to our family doctor because I've been having this abdominal pain. She made me lie down on her table and pressed on the right side of my abdomen; I yelped out of pain. She said I might have appendicitis, and told us to go to the hospital to get a check up. We did, and they took blood tests and urine tests; It came out negative for appendicitis, but positive for UTI. The doctors gave me antibiotics for it, I took it religiously.

Now, I still have this reoccurring pain on my stomach and abdomen area. It starts out like something is wrapped around my stomach, then later my lower right abdomen would start to hurt; The pain would just stay on my abdomen. This goes away after hours. It's accompanied by overall weakness, and nausea. Then, I lose my appetite. I think it's gotten worse over the years, but I just sleep through it. Though, now it hurts quite frequently, especially when stressed.

I'm an 18 years old female and not sexually active; I eat healthily; I exercise 3 times a week, and I drink occasionally only; I'm asthmatic, and allergic to shellfish; I work as a photographer and travel agent; I'm also a college student; I travel quite a lot, but I'm careful when it comes to food.

I do hope I get some suggestions on what I should do about this.

Regards,
-Lea

You definitely need to see your doctor and get to the bottom of your pain.  It's possible you have a gynecological problem like endometriosis or polycystic ovaries.  There are many things to consider where abdominal pain is concerned, and answers aren't always easily found.  One thing for certain, you need to make an appointment with your doctor.

Hi Lea!  Are you having any intestinal symptoms - diarrhea or constipation or both?  And have you been to a doctor since then about the ongoing symptoms?
