Help please

For the past 2 or 3 weeks I have been suffering from pain when im about to have a bowel movement. The past few days the pain has been so severe that it has moved me to tears and even knocked me down when i was standing. I have been going through this for quite some time now over the past few years it would come and go but now i cant take it anymore... It doesnt hurt all the time just when it reaches the lower intestines and only when im about to actually use the toilet. Im pretty positive it is not hemorrhoids but who knows. Can some one please shed some light on this for me or even possibly tell me what kind of doctor i should go see.
Thanks in advance.

You could have endometriosis. That is a huge sign of endo. I recommend that you contact the endo association to find an endo specialist near you-- a general ob/gyn does not know enough for proper treatment.

I hope this helps,

After you use the bathroom are your bowels hard?  If so, it could be really bad constipation especially if you are straining when you use the bathroom.  Hemorroids and/or anal fissues could also be the cause of your symptoms if you have been straining during a bowel movement.  Have you tried an OTC stool softner like Senna?  Miralax is also really good but it will also stimulate your bowels to move.

I would recommend that you just go in to see your primary care physician.  He/She can then refer you to a specialist if needed.  I hope you feel better soon.
