Is it possible for me to have developed a rash from taking opana ER after years of taking it?

Yes.  I had taken Vicodin for years on and off and now I can't as I get a rash, which is itchy.  What's worse is the itching inside my ears, throat and nose.  You may need to change your med.

I just started Opana er today.  How did it work for your pain?

I can't believe you asked about OPANA ER!  My Pain Management Doctor prescribed it for me 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I only took it for maybe 2 days, and not even at the dose HE prescribed. I got SO sick, and I never even thought abou the fact that I broke out on my face, neck, and chest! I just thought it was nerves because I was off all my pain meds...I gave the entire bottle of OPANA ER, all 240 tablets, minus the few I took Back to the doctor,,,,they made me SO SICK! and I DID get a rash! I got a rash from another med he gave me, Clonidine, and then he looked it up and told me only 2 % get the rash! Well, i fell into that catagory!  LOT of medicines mke me break out, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised, you can get an insert from the pharmacy, and check it out, I THREW mine away!
