Hi Tee,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am very sorry to hear about your untreated pain.

If you have kidney stones and they are not moving you should not have significant pain. However if you do not have kidney stones that are moving or partially blocking the passage of urine you need to have your pain diagnosed. I have a long history of stones and know how very extreme the pain can be. My heart goes out to you and anyone who passes kidney stones.

I suggest that you consult a Urologist.... and find another PCP. If you are producing stones on a continually basis there needs to be a reason.

You're correct that ER will see you as a drug seeker of you do not have a condition they can "see" ... such as a kidney stone moving. The last CT scan I had revealed five kidney stones. I have no horrid pain unless I am passing one. So again please consult a urologist or someone that can explain what is happening and treat your correctly.

We also have a forum that is focused on urology issues. I encourage you to also post your question there. Here's the link:  http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Urology/show/52

Please let us know how you are doing. I will look forward to your updates.

Take Care,
~Tuck

Hi Tee2779,

First, I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. I want to let you know that there are no Doctors on this Forum, only CP  {Chronic Pain}  Patients that help each other with our own expertise and experiences that we have developed through our own CP Issues.

I'm terribly sorry to see that you are in such pain!!!  It sounds like you may still have some stones in there.  At the very least, you need to be checked out by your Doctor or the ER again.  Have they done an ultra-sound on your Kidney or a CT scan of any kind to see if there is anything left in there?  You need to make yourself heard and let them know that you need some answers here.  No one should have to be in the type of pain that you are experiencing when a test will let you know what's going on.

Please stay in touch and let us know what you find out.  Again, I'm so sorry that you are having to go through all of this!!!

I'll be looking for you updates and look forward to seeing you on our Forum.....Sherry  :)
